The 3028 tool can be used:
- to hold the drive flange when removing and installing the transaxle flange nut,
- If the front wheels of the vehicle are resting on the ground, and the transmission is in gear and hand brake applied, it is not necessary to use this tool as the shaft will not turn under these conditions. This tool is necessary if the procedure is done on a work bench.
- to hold the drive flange when removing and installing the differential pinion shaft nut.
